John Rush

Henry Rush

Henry Rush was born December 23, 1774. He married Ann Huber August 18, 1795. They had four known children between 1800 and 1806.

In 1824 Henry bought the 28 acre Rees farm and improvements at a Sheriff's sale. Sometime shortly thereafter Henry built the original foundation and portion of the farmhouse that still stands to this day. Henry sold the property to Martin Groff in 1835.

Henry was a justice of the peace and a well respected citizen. He died May 28, 1848 and was buried in the Rush Family Graveyard.

Mary Rush
Mary was born October 4, 1806. She married Jacob Groff(1300)abt. 1823. They operated a farm in the vicinity of Linestown and had nine known children between 1825-1837. Mary died January 8, 1871 and was buried at Byerland Mennonite Church Cemetery.
