Peter Eshleman(112)

Peter Eshleman was born in 1683 in Langnau, Canton Bern, Switzerland. At age 50 he was a passenger with his son Christian, age 19 on the shipHope, arriving in Philadelphia August 28, 1733. Other minor children included Barbara age 16, Jacob age 11, and Peter age 9.

Peter settled in what was the Cumru Township and later a part ofBrecknock Township of Berks County. His farm adjoined*****. A common property line ran through what is now the Alleghenyville Mennonite Church Cemetery; the land for same having been donated by Peter and neighbor****. Peter's will was witnessed by Jacob Good

Christian arrived in America on the ship Hope August 28, 1733 along with his father Peter age 50, and siblings Barbara age 16, Jacob age 11 and Peter age 9.

Feronika Eshleman(112326)
Feronika was a daughter of Martin Eshleman and Elizabeth Groff. She was Married to Andrew Reese Sept. 25, 1798; two weeks after the birth of their first child Benjamin. Feronika is likely buried in the
Reese Family graveyard near Mt. Airy Road with her husband Andrew as well as many other family members.
